Privacy Policy
This draft explains how Opentrace handles information during early access. It will be expanded before general launch. If you have questions, reach us through Contact.
1. Who we are
Opentrace provides an AI-native open-source intelligence workspace. For privacy requests, contact support@opentrace.app.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- Account details such as name, email, and authentication identifiers via Supabase.
- Waitlist emails and access-code signup information.
- Investigation content you submit or generate inside the product (queries, notes, case data).
- Technical logs such as IP address, device/browser data, and usage events needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Support messages you send us.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and manage access.
- Communicate about waitlist status, product updates, and support.
- Monitor security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. AI and investigation processing
Queries and related content may be processed by model and search providers configured for your workspace in order to return investigation results. Do not submit information you are not authorized to process. We design the product to keep findings attributable to sources where possible, but you remain responsible for lawful use.
5. Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate Opentrace (for example authentication, hosting, databases, and model/search providers), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
We retain account and investigation data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal or security requirements. You may request deletion of account data subject to legal holds and backup limitations.
7. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to early-access operations. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. Report suspected incidents to support promptly.
8. Your choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also stop using the Service and request account closure.
9. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we will use appropriate transfer mechanisms.
10. Children
Opentrace is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we post revisions. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
